Life at Nihada Arana is simple, designed to understand the chaos of the truth seeker. The Venerable Sangha (Mendicant Monks) and the overnight guests are at ease following the seated and walking meditation practises at their leisure.It’s a journey of unlearning that begins with one part knowledge and one part shraddha (what do you call this) while attending the two daily sermons while the Ven. Gnanaweera Thero will also guide your practice and help you take the next step on your journey.Nihada Arana is a temporary shelter for the truth seeker and is free of charge. You can help around the garden, clean the facilities or assist in the kitchen with mindfulness. The journey of the truth seeker does not begin in isolation, its about finding creative ways to practice mindfulness and experience happiness in everyday life.
