Due to the increasing numbers of Monks within the Nihada Arana Meditation Center, it has become an urgent necessity to build more “Kuti” (accommodation rooms) for Monks to reside. Currently there are more than 45 monks permanently residing within Nihada Arana and many others frequently visit for short and medium term stays to be guided by the chief abbot Ven. Aluthgamgoda Gnanaweera Thero. Most monks currently have to share their rooms with others where at times there are three to four monks in one single room.
